Hartt Island Update:  July 14, 2014

The campground is almost back to normal. There are still 20 sites that will not be available for awhile (60-71 and 82-86 – new map coming) but everything else is getting back to normal.   The sun is shinning and the pool is calling you!

Don’t forget to call for a reservation as our on line system is offline But we do have spots available. For those who couldn’t camp with us last week….we hope you call and rebook. The summer isn’t the same without you!

Along with 20 additional camping sites.   Please continue to call for reservations as the booking site is offline until all seasonal and current bookings can be sorted out.

Thanks for all the well wishes and most of all, your patience!

Hartt Island Update:  July 11th, 2014

Power has been restored to 2/3′s of the campground (the upper lot)  We are hoping to have the available lower sites and pool with power by the end of the day today.  We will post an update around supper time today.

Hartt Island has been calling all people with reservations to either confirm or cancel.  We will continue to do so for the next few days.

The reservation system on our site is purposely off-line until we can sort out the sites and reservations. Please call if you have any questions about your reservation, to make a reservation or cancel a reservation.

Thank you for your patience.

Hartt Island Update:   July 7th, 2014

Hurricane Arthur hit us hard this weekend, causing a flash flood in our lower campground that created a large washout.  3 campers and a car were lost in the sink hole.  No people were injured.  For that we are very thankful.  Any seasonal campers that were in the lower area have been moved to the upper campground, hence no availability for additional campers.

Clean up has begun.   We are fencing off the sink hole area of the site, cleaning trees and other debris from the lower camping areas.  We are still without power and phones.    We will be posting a map of sites that will be available by Friday (that’s the plan) and we will post updates on the website and Facebook as we move through the week.

We apologize for any inconvenience to those who were to arrive in the next couple of days.  Please check back regularly for updates.
